Personal Intelligence

Using Personal Intelligence to Understand

Personal intelligence differs from emotional intelligence.  Emotional intelligence leaves out people’s intentions, traits, motives and life stories.  Personality intelligence looks at the mental process of understanding others; therefore, being able to better interact with others.  Personal intelligence also means having a good knowledge of ourselves.  Seeing ourselves clearly isn’t always easy, especially when it involves remembering and wrestling with our worst selves.  We do not want to become too focused on certain aspects of ourselves and lose the big picture.  And even though many aspects of our personality persist over time, there is always room for growth and change.
